Language transliteration is one of the important area in natural language processing. Accurate transliteration of named entities plays an important role in the performance of machine translation (MT),cross-language information retrieval (CLIR) and question answering (QA), and bilingual lexicon construction. Handling out of vocabulary words is crucial in CLIR and MT. It is important for Machine Translation, especially when the languages do not use the same scripts. This paper addresses the issue of transliteration from Roman Script to Gurmukhi Script. Statistical Approach guided by rules is used for transliteration from English to Punjabi using MOSES, a statistical machine translation tool. The overall TAR after the application of observed rules comes out to be 74.18%.Keywords

World Health Organization (WHO) predicts that Indians will have 100 million or 60 per cent of the world's heart patients by 2010. Punjab is one of the prosperous states in India with a high per capita inconne and lifestyles similar to that of industrialized western population. A significant section ie 3.4 per cent of the total rural population of Punjab has been reported to be suffering from cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Punjab is undergoing an epidemiological transition. It is on the threshold of an epidemic of cardiovascular disease. The high prevalence of CVD causes an immense loss in terms of productivity, morbidity and mortality.- An Edge Base Detection Image Steganography

Steganography is an important technique used for data hiding. It is being used by military, govt. agencies and other major agencies for concealing their information during transit and storage. The basic need of any steganography technique is data hiding capacity and undetectability. In this paper we have implemented an XOR based coding technique and the IWT based XOR coding technique for image steganography for Images. The experiment is conducted to test the effectiveness of our algorithm. Result proves the new proposed and implemented technique to be more successful than the previous ones.

Wavelength division multiplexing has become a preferred transmission technology in the transport network of long distance communication. In this paper a WDM system has been designed at different data rate(8*10,12*10,16*10) and compared using different data fiber standards(SMF,ALCATEL,ITUG.653) The designed system is evaluated to find maximum transmission distance at(80,120,160)Gbps. It has been evaluated that ITUG.653 gives ideal performance with Q Factor of 15 and an acceptable bit error rate of 10^-54 at a distance of 313km with compensation among all fibre. The total of (8,12,16) channels at a data rate of 10Gbps with equal channel spacing of 300 GHZ and with different fiber standards has been evaluated.

Objectives: To implement misdirection attack and analyze network performance of LEACH protocol; to propose node localization based technique to detect and isolate misdirection attack; to implement existing and the proposed techniques and compare the consequences in terms of throughput, delay and energy consumption. Method: In this manner, a novel procedure has been proposed for the detection and isolation of the misdirection assault in Wireless Sensor Networks. The proposed technique is based on node localization, in which delay per hop is counted and the node which is increasing delay maximum times which can be detected as a malicious node. Findings: The simulation of the planned algorithm is performed in NS2 by taking area of 800*800 meters and the numbers of nodes are 20. It has been analyzed that network throughput is to raise and the delay and energy utilization of the sensor nodes lessened. Keywords

Delinquent behavior as socially unacceptable behavior demonstrated by adolescents is a long standing subject of public concern. Media influence upon adolescents has generally been assumed to significant, with powerful and long lasting consequences. The influence of Mass media is a combative issue, when it comes to juvenile behavior. The present study aimed at exploring the relationship between media values (Pro-social and antisocial) and delinquent behavior. Jessness inventory and Media socialisation questionnaire were administered to a sample of 120 juvenile delinquents from observation homes. The obtained data were subjected to Pearson's product moment correlation. The result revealed that Pro-social media values were found to be negatively and significantly correlated, however, the antisocial media values were positively correlated with delinquent behavior in a significant manner. Future implications for the present study were also discussed. Keywords

Objectives: Groundwater is an important resource contributing significantly in development of natural life. However, over exploitation has depleted groundwater ratio deliberately and also led to land subsidence at some places. Methods/Statistical Analysis: Groundwater zones are demarcated using remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques. Findings: In this research a definitive methodology is proposed to determine groundwater using integration of BFO and neural network technique. For the training purpose we use fuzzy logic and after that we use optimization techniques to find suitable feature set which can classify more accurate. Applications/Improvements: Finally, it is concluded that the Geoinformatics technology are very efficient and useful for the identification of groundwater detection. We evaluate parameters like kappa coefficient, water level, accuracy of algorithm to detect the water percentage in the region from where we conduct the satellite image through remote sensing. Therefore, this research will be useful for effectual identification of suitable locations for extraction of water. Keywords

Delinquent behaviour is problematic and socially unacceptable behaviour demonstrated by adolescents. Delinquency is a multidimensional problem. The intensity and seventy of juvenile offences are generally determined by the social, economic and cultural conditions prevailing in a country. Family structure and dynamics involved in parenting processes are causal variables in discussing delinquency due to their critical role in socialization and control of children. The media play a significant role in enduring behavior patterns among youth. The influence of mass-media is a contentious issue when it comes to juvenile behaviour. The influence of mass media on the psycho- social development of the children is of important concern. The present study examined the perception of family functioning and mass media socialization in the both groups of delinquents and non-delinquents The total number of participants were 240 adolescents divided into two groups of 120 delinquents and 120 non- delinquents. The first group of Sample consisted of Male Adolescents (delinquents) who were all charged with the Commission of a delinquent act. The Data was derived from various delinquent homes(observation homes) located in different areas of Punjab State. The second group of sample consisted of adolescence (non-delinquents) from urban high school. Participants were assessed by the Parental authority questionnaire and Media socialization questionnaire. The results of the present research examined through t-test revealed the two group differences (delinquents&non- delinquents) in mean scores of family functioning&mass media socialization. Further, research efforts should include a more comprehensive study with multiple perspectives and variables from different contexts. Keywords
